<p>The device measures the peak values of a non periodic phenomena of weak recurrence in which a variable decreases in a discontinuous way as a function of time by successive levels. These are separated by intervals of uncertain duration, in the course of which the variable decreases in a insignificant way, the duration of each of the intervals being small w.r.t. the total duration of decrease. This is partic. applicable to the indication of the state of discharge of a battery. The device has a voltage comparator with adjustable amplification factor. The battery voltage (i.e. the voltage to be measured) is applied to its positive input, and a stabilised adjustable voltage to its negative input. The resultant of the comparison is applied to a commutator system, controlled by the absence of current discharged by the battery, which connects the output of the comparator to a capacitor store itself connected to the input of an impedance adaptor having a high input impedance. An indicating device with adjustable range is connected to the output of the adaptor.</p> |
