The glass gable of an existing greenhouse is provided, on the outside, with a second glass wall by firmly bonding two grooved supporting blocks to the underside of each existing glass slab and one or more spacer blocks close to the upper edge thereof, by placing a pane of suitable dimensions in the grooves of the supporting blocks and firmly bonding it to one or more spacer blocks, and by sealing the space between the existing slab and the pane at the peripheral edges of the assembly obtained.
