The invention relates to a material feed device on presses, stamping machines or similar machines. Different feed apparatuses have hitherto been provided when processing bands of material, strips and sheet bar i.e. when the type of material was changed, one apparatus had in each case to be removed and another apparatus attached to the press in its place. In order to reduce the expenditure required for this, the invention proposes a material feed device which is characterised by the combination of a band feed apparatus (A) with an apparatus (B) for feeding strips and blanks. The two apparatuses form a single unit which is arranged in vertically adjustable manner in front of the press (1). The particular apparatus desired can be adjusted to the working plane by corresponding adjustment.
