The mixer tap installation has automatic controls. It has a nozzle head (3) positioned over a sink unit and has a pushbutton control (10), which is linked via a cable (9) with a hot and cold water mixing unit mounted on the wall under the top surface of the sink unit. It contains separate valve units, for regulating the temp. and water mixt., which are pref. electromagnetic. The nozzle head assembly contains a spray nozzle (19), which is supplied with water via channel in the neck supporting the nozzle head. There is a two-way valve (15) which is spring loaded (17) and directs water to one or other of two alternative nozzles, controlled by a pushbutton (14). The nozzles may be a jet nozzle (19a) or a spray nozzle (19b).
