摘要 Sleeve for the inner lining of a pipe noteworthy in that its wall consists of a composite material, at least one part of the layers of which composite material comprises a heating layer 5, the said part being placed between an inner end layer 1 which can be leaktight and, optionally, an outer end layer 6; the said part is then impregnated with a resin which hardens completely when the sleeve is positioned in the pipe in order to be shaped to the cross-section of the pipe; the said sleeve must then derive its rigidity essentially from its own structure and may be self-supporting. The sleeve, which is prepared in the workshop, for example, in order to be leaktight and some of whose layers of abovementioned composite material are impregnated with a non-polymerised resin, is introduced into the pipe C, optionally, in a partially inflated state. The electrical heating incorporated into the composite material is switched on when the sleeve is inflated by means of a fluid under pressure, and maintained until the resin polymerises completely. The ends of the hardened sleeve are then cut. As the sleeve does not, in general, adhere to the inner wall of the pipe, the latter is self-supporting. The space which remains available between the sleeve and the pipe is plugged, in a leaktight fashion, at the ends of the pipe. <IMAGE>
