A device (1) for coating chocolate cream blanks (2) or like products with chocolate (3) has, for transport of the blanks (2) and of the coated chocolate creams inside the device (1), a permeable endless belt (4), with which the blanks can first be transported into the region of a heated tank (5) with the chocolate (3) and after coating to a store belt (6). The permeable conveyor belt (4) can be moved up and down with its mounting (9) and immersed in the tank (5) with the products situated on it. At the same time, a lowerable holding-down device (11) is provided, which is expediently designed as a sectional belt in order to be capable of adapting to the contour of the product. The drive of the transport belts and of the other movements takes place expediently by means of hand levers (12, 13 and 15) so that machines and control devices which are susceptible to faults are eliminated. <IMAGE>
