Device for holding, guiding and driving cartridges

For transporting cartridges to the weapon in automatic loaders, a device is used in which the guidance and drive take place by means of double-toothed tooth belts or tooth belts with a special profiling on the rear of the belts on guide webs which are arranged concentrically around the cartridge. In consequence, the cartridges on the transportation path are guided and held exactly, and are shackled to the drive device. There is no friction between the cartridge and the cartridge guide. Utilisation of this principle as a cartridge holder in ammunition magazines is possible without there being any need for special locking. <IMAGE>
