Such air dehumidifiers have a filling which absorbs water vapour and are blocked off from the environmental air by a closure which can easily be opened inwards and outwards. According to the invention, a soft-elastic membrane (10) which is clamped in in the space between two filters (8, 11 and 12) on their circumferential edge, has an incision (13) in its central area, which incision (13) ends on both sides in front of the clamped-in edge, and is used as a closure. Air dehumidifiers having this closure are particularly suitable for use on oil-cooled transformers for powers up to approximately 50 MVA, and are primarily distinguished by their long life which is ensured despite them being maintenance-free.
