The invention relates to a process for producing elastically enlargeable transparency frame halves from at least one extruded plastics film which are bonded together by adhesion or ultrasonic welding to form a frame in which the picture window cutouts and the outer contour of the frame are punched out. With the object of simplifying the known processes of this type in such a manner that the frames can be produced at lower cost, the film bed for the transparency is embossed into at least one of two films.
