Non-return flap with a valve housing (1), at least one pivotable closing part (6) and an influencing member (10, 11) which can be moved in reciprocating fashion and is connected to a reciprocating rod (13) which interacts with the closing part (6). The reciprocating rod (13) extends transversely to the longitudinal axis (8) of the valve housing and motion-converting coupling means (14-16) are arranged between the reciprocating rod (13) and the closing part (6). With this arrangement it is possible to achieve particularly short overall lengths of the valve. <IMAGE>
