Winding machine

In a winding machine for winding a yarn to form a cross-wound bobbin, the traversing device consists of two rotors which rotate in opposite directions and the driving arms of which guide the yarn transversely relative to its running direction alternately in one direction and the other. This traversing device is assigned a positive guide of the yarn, which deflects the yarn into an angled yarn run in the reversal regions in which the yarn changes its direction of movement. A more uniform yarn tension is achieved thereby.
