<p>An apparatus for the storage and dispensing of coffee comprises a container (1) for the coffee, a movable discharge device (9) with at least one dispensing compartment (11). The dispensing compartment (11) is movable with the discharge device (9) between a replenishment position and a discharge position. The discharge device (9) is in the form of a rotor which covers the bottom (3) of the container (1) and is provided with a number of upstanding vanes (10) which therebetween define the dispensing compartments (11). Furthermore, the bottom (3) has a discharge opening (8) which is located beneath a wiper which, in the circumferential direction, covers the discharge opening (8), and a dispensing compartment on either side thereof. The wiper (2) has a wall (27) facing the interior of the container (1), the wall tapering upwardly and joining the inside of the container (1) at an acute angle. Finally, the rotor is connected to a drive mechanism for stepwise pivoting with one dispensing compartment at a time.</p> |
