PURPOSE:To obtain a surface hardened plastic molded product having superior adhesion, hardness, abrasion and wear resistances and not causing stripping or cracking by successively forming a silicone coating layer and an SiO2 film on the surface of a plastic molded product. CONSTITUTION:A silicone coating layer is formed on the surface of a plastic molded product of acrylic resin, polycarbonate resin or the like by coating with a silicone hard coating agent. In case where the adhesion of the coating layer to the surface of the base material is not satisfactory, e.g., in case where the plastic molded product is made of polycarbonate resin, the adhesion can be improved by forming a primary layer between them. An SiO2 film is then formed on the silicone coating layer especially by PVD in vacuum to obtain a desired surface hardened plastic molded product. |
