PURPOSE:To facilitate the management of a packing case by fixing a magnetic disk device having the additional equipments of various combinations, on the plate metal for packing with the shape of one kind, through the use of a screw, and packaging it with outer upper and lower members designed to absorb a shock, and with an outer case made of a corrugated cardboard. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic disk device is placed on the lower plate metal 7, and the magnetic disk device is fixed by using the screw 8 from its bottom part, and further, it is covered with the upper plate metal 6 and made into a single unit. Because the upper plate metal 6 and the lower plate metal 7n are predetermined so as to be able to take in the magnetic disk device at a state that all the additional equipments are attached on the main body 1 of the device, the combination of the upper plate metal 6 and the lower plate metal 7 of one kind is enough for the all the combinations of the additional equipments. The unit is taken in an outer pat base assembly 9 designed to absorb the shock, and an outer pat tops 10a, 10b are put over the upper part of the unit. Further, an outer case 5 is put over the outside of it, and is connected to the outer pat base assembly 9, then a storing and a packaging are completed.
