PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can be applied to even a lowly heat-resistant resin base and whose electric resistance and light transmittance can be freely set in specified ranges, by dispersing fine In2O3-Sn powder surface- coated with a specified wetting agent in a solution of a nitrile resin in a specified solvent. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electroconductive composition prepared by dispersing a fine In2O2-Sn powder surface-coated with glycidyl ether of 3- pentadecylphenol in a solution of a nitrile resin in N,N-dimethylformamide (e.g., a solution of a polyacrylonitrile resin). A transparent electroconductive film prepared by using the above composition has electric resistance and light transmittance which can be set in wider ranges, and it can exhibit excellent effects when used in many uses for display electrodes, transparent electrophotography, heat wave reflective films, and transparent thin-film resistors used for, e.g., defrosting automobile glasses or show windows.
