PURPOSE:To enable an ordinary flat cable being used in a cross bus to be applied, by connecting the connection identification circuit of both systems of a duplex system which identify the application of the cross connection of a peripheral bus, etc., with a single line. CONSTITUTION:Tri-state circuits 304 and 314 where a control terminal is connected to an input terminal at every system and output terminals connected to a power source via resistors R10 and R11 are connected with each other are provided. And a state signal representing the identification of its own system, a system in use or a spare system, is inputted to the tri-state circuits 304 and 314, and the presence/absence of the cross connection of the duplex system is identified by the values of the output signals of the tri-state circuits 304 and 314 of both systems whose outputs are coupled with each other. In such a way, a connection line 73 to identify the presence/absence of the cross connection is saved in one, and since it can he included in the ordinary flat cable being used in the cross bus, no specifically constituted cable is required.
