TROUBLE MONITOR SIGNAL GENERATING DEVICE FOR IGNITOR

PURPOSE:To generate a trouble monitoring signal by using only one monostable circuit by installing a plurality of bistable circuits which generate the ignition monitor signals corresponding to a plurality of ignition coils and a logic calculation circuit which integrates the ignition monitor signals of the bistable circuits and outputting said signal into an engine control unit. CONSTITUTION:An ignitor 1 is equipped with an ignition signal generating circuit 6 which generates each ignition signal on the ignition coils 3-5 on the basis of the ignition timing signal and ignition distribution signal which an engine control unit 2 generates and a monitor signal generating circuit 7 which generates the operation state of each ignition coil 3-5 as monitor signal in the engine control unit 2. The monitor signal generating circuit 7 is equipped with the bistable circuits 21-23 corresponding to the ignition coils 3-5 and one monostable circuit 33 which receives the ignition timing signal and outputs each monostable signal having a prescribed width into the bistable circuits 21-23. The monitor signals of the bistable circuits 21-23 are outputted into an OR circuit 37 as the logic calculation circuit through the gate circuits 34-36.
