PURPOSE:To narrow the space between stored cartridges and to lower the height of a case and also the overall height of its device by providing a cartridge table to be moved in the cartridge case by a moving mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A holding mechanism 6 is positioned under the opening state of its forward end in front of a target cartridge 5. At that time, the cartridge 5 and the cartridge table 2 are completely withdrawn into the cartridge case 1'. Then, a solenoid 3 is driven to work a rod 4 too push out the cartridge table 2, so that the cartridge 5 is moved until the position where the holding mechanism 6 can hold the cartridge 5. Thus, since there is no need for inserting of the holding mechanism 6 into the cartridge case 1' at the time of holding the cartridge 5, the space between the stored cartridges 5 can be narrowed. By this method, the height of the cartridge case 1' can be lowered for the sum total of the cartridges 5 in thickness.
