PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of a vessel body caused by loading of a connecting body by detecting loading downward in the connecting body connecting with the vessel body at the opening part and detaching and shifting the connecting body from the vessel body by this method. CONSTITUTION:The vessel body 1 including a mold 5 for continuous casting, raw material 7 for continuous casting of Ti sponge, etc., an electron gun 6, is connected with upper flange part of a cylindrical body 10 composing of continuously cast product taking-out means 4 at the lower flange part. A seed W of Ti for continuous casting fitted at the upper end of a rod 12 in the taking-out means 4, is pushed in the lower part of the mold 5 in the vessel body 1 and molten Ti is flowed on the seed W for continuous casting while melting the Ti sponge 7 by the electron gun 6, to produce the continuously cast product of Ti through cooling in the mold. When the weight of the continuously cast product gradually grows, it is detected with a loading detecting means 43 and the taking-out means 4 is descended by the control device 44 and the continuously cast Ti is taken out from the mold and at the same time, the cylindrical body 10 is removed from the opening 3 of the vessel body 1 and horizontally shifted on rail 15. The breakage of the vessel body caused by over-load of the continuously cast product is prevented.
