PURPOSE:To increase the amount of data inputted from a host machine to a printing press and to reduce a processing time, by a method wherein, a changing pattern of a synchronizing signal formed according to a bit density ratio of inputted image data etc., to a stencil mechanism part is collated with a synchronizing signal outputted from the mechanism part in a synchronizing control part, stored data in a frame memory part is read, and an output control is applied to the mechanism part. CONSTITUTION:Image data from a host machine 1 is inputted to an input part 21 to be stored in a frame memory part 22. A ratio of bit density difference of the data and a stencil mechanism part 24 is arithmetically operated in a system control part 28 and inputted to a synchronizing control part 27 as a synchronizing signal changing pattern S1. The control part 27 outputs a start signal S2 to a mechanism part 24, and a synchronizing signal S3 is outputted from the actuated mechanism part to the control part 27. The synchronizing signal S3 is changed by the changing pattern S1 to be outputted to an output control part 23 as a synchronizing signal S4. The control part 23 reads the data etc., stored in the memory part by the signal S4 to be outputted to the mechanism part. Then, a processed stencil for one page is transferred to a mechanism part 25, and a printing is carried out after the number of sheets to be printed is inputted from an operating part 26.
