PURPOSE:To enable the control of increase in pressure loss of a coolant and the securing of mechanical strength thereof, by forming notches at lower and upper rims of first and second several band plates in such a manner that the end section of the notch at the lower rim decreases gradually downward. CONSTITUTION:Welding tabs 10 and notches 14 are formed at upper and lower rims of first and second several band plates 20a and 20b. Chamferred sections 13 are formed at the lower rims of the band plates 20a and 20b on the coolant inlet side in such a manner that the cross-sectional area thereof decreases gradually downward. Then, with the arrangement of the notches 14, a step is created in substance between the axial direction of welding nuggets 11 and the axial direction of the upper ad lower rims of the band plates 20a and 20b when the nuggets 11 are formed so as to ease a sharp reduction in a passage caused by the nuggets 11 on the coolant inlet and outlet sides of a support grid 20 thereby controlling an increase in the pressure loss associated with geometrical changes. The end cross-sectional area of the notches 14 of the lower rims is made to decrease gradually to ease a sharp reduction in a passage on the cloolant inlet side thereby controlling an increases in the pressure loss associated with geometrical changes.
