The invention relates to a method for protecting a seed or a body of the plant growing from a seed against arthropod pest. According to the invention, the method comprises the following stages: a. forming a ground furrow, b. placing a maize seed, which retains thiacloprid on a surface thereof, in the said furrow and applying thereon a pesticide composition comprising one or more synthetic pyrethroid compounds selected from the group consisting of esfenvalerate, alfa-, beta-, teta-, delta-cypermethrin, fenpropathrin, tau-fluvalinate, beta-cyfluthrin, acrinathrin, bi-fentrine, cycloprotine and etofenprox and c. covering the furrow. |
