<p>Cinnamic acid esters are synthesized from a styrene compd., carbon monoxide, an alcohol and oxygen in the presence of (1) Pd or its compd., (2) a Cu compd., (3) a compd. of at least one metal compd. selected from groups 4A,5A,7A,8A and 2B of Periodic table, and (4) a halogen compd. as catalysts. The esters are useful as perfumes and raw materials for perfumes, agricultural chemicals, photosensitive resins and phenyl alanine.</p> |
