PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover from a failure of writing update data on a storage medium, while preventing the increase in memory capacity required for storing a program.SOLUTION: Processing of a boot program included in boot data 151 stored in a nonvolatile memory 150 executes a download control program 152 which executes processing of downloading update data from a server 140 before starting an OS/application 153. Processing of the download control program 152 includes: writing the downloaded update data to a second area other than a first area where the boot program and the download control program 152 are stored; holding a start address of the second area as a storage position of the boot program to be executed at the next start-up; and holding a start address of the first area as a storage position of a boot program for recovery from a failure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
