Cpds. of formula (I) are prepd. by reacting a cpd. of formula (II) with a concentrated hydrazine hydrate. In the formulas, R is H, C1-10 alkyl, C3-7 cycloalkyl, C1-6 alkanoyl, C1-4 alkoxycarbonyl, phenyl, phenyl(C1-6) alkyl or phenyl(C1-6)alkanoyl; R1 is H, C1-6 alkyl, C3-6 cycloalkyl or (substd.) phenyl; Ar is 5- or 6membered heteroaromatic ring. (I) and acid addn. salts are useful as CNS depressants, neuroleptics, cardiotonics, antihypertensives, analgeiscs, etc.
