Measuring disc comprises a plastics cylinder whose bore is slightly narrower than the instrument shaft so as to clamp onto this and only move when pushed. Right along its length the bore (2) should connect to a plug-on slot (3) whose foot going over into the bore is narrowed down relative to the dia of the bore (2) but can be splayed open to let the instrument shaft into the cylinder bore as required. The cylinder is pref. made from plastics colour coded to suit the disc. USE/ADVANTAGE - Dentistry, root canal instruments, insertion depth gauging. Disc is easily plugged home as and when required for film seating and measurements.
