The process comprises elongation of the dried paper via carrier rolls serving the dipping bath. A roughening roll collaborates with a scraper, prior to drying on heated cylindrical surfaces, coiling, and -sectioning. The bath, of 8-17 per cent polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution at 50-60 degrees C is applied at a coiling rate of 45-65 m/minute.
