摘要
431,204. Golf tees. ANDERSON, C. A. M., 41, Upper Belgrave Road, Clifton, Bristol. Jan. 3, 1934, No. 206. [Class 132 (ii)] A golf tee comprises an upper part to receive the ball and a tapered socket for insertion in the ground the two parts being assembled to support the ball in axial alignment with the socket and being capable of relative movement. As shown in Fig. 1 a cord b is secured to the socket by solder d and passes axially through the upper part e. The upper part is provided with grooves f to receive the cord, and the socket has a vertical recess g to allow mud to be expelled from the socket when the upper part is pressed into frictional engagement therewith. On striking the teed ball, the upper part e is displaced from the socket but is retained by the cord. In a modification, Fig. 5, the upper part consists of a cup e<2> and rod e<1> connected to the socket by a universal ball joint u urged upwards by a spring.
