PURPOSE:To prevent an unnecessary upshift by correcting a correction factor calculated as the ratio of an actual intake air quantity to a request intake air quantity so that the upshift may become difficult when an engine driven air conditioner is in operating state. CONSTITUTION:A request intake air quantity Qc is determined on the engine speed of an engine 10 and the opening of a throttle valve 20. An intake air quantity detecting means 16 detects an actual intake air quantity Qm, and a correction factor computing means computes Qc/Qm as a correction factor. A judging means judges whether an air conditioner 64 driven by the output of the engine 10 is in operation or not, and in the case of an operating state, a correction factor correcting means corrects the correction factor Qc/Qm to make an upshift difficult for controlling an automatic speed change gear 68 through a speed change controlling means. |
