PURPOSE:A biliary calculus-collapsing agent comprising an aqueous solution containing an alkali metal carbonate salt or the same and N-acetylcysteine as active ingredients, having high safety and a fast-acting biliary calculus- collapsing action, and useful as a cholecystitis therapeutic agent. CONSTITUTION:An alkali metal carbonate salt (e.g. sodium bicarbonate) or the same and N-acetylcysteine are dissolved in distilled water to prepare an aqueous solution containing the alkali metal carbonate salt in a concentration of 1-30 (W/V)%, preferably 5-20 (W/V)%, and the N-acetylcysteine in a concentration of 5-30 (W/V)%, preferably 10-25 (W/V)%, thus providing the objective biliary calculus-collapsing agent having high safety, a fast-acting biliary calculus- collapsing action, and useful as a cholecystitis-therapeutic agent which is injected or perfused in a bile duct or gall bladder with a tube held through a skin and a liver. |
