Simplified anti-skid braking system for motor cycle - has servo powered mechanical arm to counteract control force on master piston

The brake system, on either wheel of the motorcycle, is operated by a master cylinder (1) using a mechanical linkage (4). The braked wheel has a monitor (5) to detect wheel lock and servo driven catch arm (8) which operates against the mechanical linkage if wheel lock threatens. No modification is required for the hydraulic circuit. The brake activating linkage may be connected to the anti-skid control arm via a knuckle joint which presses on the master piston. The front-and rear brakes can be linked to a tilt control which balances the braking effect and prevents nose dip during braking. ADVANTAGE - Simple brake control without complicated changes to brake circuit.
