PURPOSE: To improve the processing characteristics of prepreg by impregnating web in resin of a specified amount of mole containing adders and hardeners, then passing the web through a pair of heated measuring rollers. CONSTITUTION: A resin without solution or with low solution is produced which contains adders, accelerators, hardeners, plasticizers, reaction accelerators, etc., and whose average molecular weight is 200 to 1500. A porous web is impregnated in the resin, which is kept a low viscosity status suitable for impregnation by heating, the impregnated web is passed through a pair of heated measuring rollers, then is cooled to make a resin impregnated web. Suitable resins are epoxy, phenol, melanin, polyester resin, etc., which have average molecular weight ranging 200 to 1500 measured by a gel permeability chromatography, viscosity of 150 to 1000 mPas and usable time of 1 to 4 hours at 80 deg.C. It is preferred that the above mentioned web is heated 150 to 300 deg.C. |
