PURPOSE: To reduce momentum loss thickness that is important to a profile loss in the trailing edge region of the suction surface. CONSTITUTION: A turbomachine blade/vane has a convex curvature profile contour in the region of the leading edge and over the major part of the suction surface S and a concave curvature profile contour in the region of pressure surface D. The profile contour in trailing edge region of the suction surface is designed to be concave K for the profile of turbine machine for subsonic conditions.
