VEHICLE COUPLING ASSISTING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To provide a vehicle coupling assisting system for performing coupling work of vehicles through no intermediary of conductor. CONSTITUTION:One of two vehicles 11, 12 to be coupled is provided with a ranging unit 20 whereas a vehicle 13 driving the other vehicle is provided with a receiving station 40. The ranging unit comprises means for detecting the distance between one and the other vehicles, and means for transmitting a distance information signal detected through the detecting means on radio. The receiving station comprises means for receiving the distance information signal from the ranging unit, a signal processing means for processing the received signal to output a display signal and a voice indication signal, a display means for displaying the distance based on the display signal, and a voice output means for sounding the distance based on the voice indication signal.
