PURPOSE:To simply and surely register a singular point on a running route in a route guide device. CONSTITUTION:The route guide device is incorporated with a microcomputer consisting of a CPU 2, a ROM 4, a RAM 6, an input/output port 8 and a display part 10 displaying a direction of travel and a signal processing part 12 processing a GPS signal from a receiving antenna 40 and generating position data in a device body. A connector 34 for loading a ROM card 30 is provided in the device body. The ROM card 30 is made as a pair of a map book in which a road map attached with an identification sign is printed at every crossing, and crossing data consisting of the identification sign, a position coordinate and a name is registered in the card 30 at every crossing on the road map. Then by the CPU 2, when the identification sign is inputted from an operation part 20, the crossing data on the identification sign is read from the ROM card 30 and stored in the RAM 6 as the running route. |
