The function selective plate display device comprises the steps of: (S1) initiation; (S2) scanning of a keyboard; (S3) discrimination of input data; (S4) decision on function selection guide data; (S5) operation of plate display device (5) on a function selection decision in S4; (S6) control which let the function of this device display, and the last (S7) which read the matched program of ROM by a microprocessor (2) and executing the pertinent function by operation buttons.
