<p>PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF METHYLPOLYSILOXANES A process for preparing methylpolysiloxanes by reacting organopolysiloxanes (A), consisting of units of the formula Ra(CH3)b(R1O)cSiO(4-a-b-c)/2 (I) in which R is a hydrogen atom, an aromatic hydrocarbon radical, a substituted aromatic hydrocarbon radical, an aliphatically unsaturated radical or a substituted aliphatically unsaturated radical, R1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical, a is 0, 1, 2 or 3, b is 0, 1, 2 or 3, and c is 0 or 1, with the proviso that the sum a+b+c is less than or equal to 3, with hexamethyldisiloxane in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid and an aluminum-containing silicate.</p> |
