The elimination procedure memorises the sample values obtd. by N transducers, and divides the current samples in one view (V) by the sum of N partial products. Each partial prod. is equal to the prod. of the weighting coefft. and the transmission coefft. for each of the N detectors. The N values from the detectors are then subtracted and the modified samples stored to allow the formation of P views from the modified samples, thus eliminating the view V.
