PURPOSE:To obtain a new LPS having high immunological function activating ability, extremely low toxicity, high chemotherapy coefficient, usable for a long period of time, capable of being administered through oral, percutaneous or injection route and being supplied in a large amount at low manufacturing cost, a new bacterium to produce the LPS, a new immunological function activator containing the LPS and an immunological function activator for animal. CONSTITUTION:This LPS has the following physical properties and the bacterium produces the LPS. Molecular weight: 5,000+ or -1,500 (by tricine-SDS-PAGE method). The number of mole of phosphorus: 2.0+ or - 1/molecular weight 5,000. The number of mols of hexosamine: 9.1+ or -1/molecular weight 5,000. The number of mols of KDO: 0.8+ or -0.5/molecular weight 5,000. |
