The invention relates to an input medium for computers (computer mouse), the signal from one or more electrical acceleration sensors disposed in the invention being used to detect movements, from which the output signals are processed by the invention in such a way that they can be interpreted by the connected computer as a product of the movement performed with the mouse. The invention enables both the use of a computer mouse without a work surface and the simple construction of a 3-dimensionally operating computer mouse.
