The rainwater catchment has an inner and an outer siphon (A, B) each with an inlet (A1, B1) and an outlet (A2, B2). The inner siphon (A) is so arranged inside a hollow space of the rain fall tube (C), or in another space leading downwards from the roof surface, that its inlet (A1) in the water entry area lies at the height of the roof surface (H3). The other siphon (B) is so arranged outside the roof edge that both siphons (A, B) are located at a height (H1) and that a connecting hose (1) is fed over the roof surface, which connects the outlet (A2) of the inner siphon (A) with the inlet (B1) of the outer siphon (B). USE/ADVANTAGE - A rainwater catchment device for flat roofs with internally located rain fall tubes, which at low expense can be installed on existing buildings.
