A sliding door consisting of a frame (1), with a rail (12) attached to it, asliding door (5) with wheels (11) that can run on the said rail (12) of theframe and closing brushes (10) in the intermediate spaces (9) of theoverlapping parts of the top rails (3, 7) and of the lower rails (2, 6) offrame (1) and sliding door (5). To allow the sliding door to run over themain part of its course with minimal friction, the running area of the rail(12) has high and low lying sections (13 and 5 respectively) that are dividedfrom each other by intermediate running surfaces (14) and the width of theintermediate spaces (9) of the said overlapping parts in the high positionand in the low position of the sliding door is thus different, seen along theline of the sealing brushes (10), sufficiently different that the sealingbrushes (10) only fulfil their sealing function if the sliding door isnearing the closed position or is in that position.<IMAGE> |
