The invention relates to an apparatus for collecting balls, particularly table-tennis balls, of the suction type more particularly used during practice (training) with a view to competitions in this sport. This apparatus is of the electric suction type, consisting of a blower (fan) (10) and of ducts (1-2) channelling the balls from the entry of the suction snout (11) to the recovery reservoir (7). This suction device includes means (8-20-5) for recovery, arrival and reinjection of the air blown by the blower (10) as well as a non-return valve (19) arranged at the entry of the ball recovery reservoir (7). This reservoir, which is air-permeable, can be removed, the cover remaining fastened on the apparatus whereas the basket (7), once full, can be used directly for training. <IMAGE>
