The patent application under the file reference P 4304435.2 is expanded by an additional application. In order also to render usable the function of the overflow safety device for petrol separators with a relatively high throughflow volume, over 3 l/s, and relatively high densities, over 0.90, provision is made for a parallel multiplication of small separators up to the required size. In this arrangement, considerable advantages for production are achieved by joint usage of the devices. Moreover, different densities and different volumes are matched with one another such that they are utilised to the optimum extent for preventing overflow. <IMAGE>
