Magnetic grip tracked vehicle

The remote control tracked vehicle grips the steel wall via permanent magnets embedded in the track elements (7) and moves working tools over the steel surface. The track elements each have a single rear spur which is pulled through an outer groove of a flexible central frame (6) between the drive wheel (3) and the tension control wheel (5). The two wheels are similarly grooved and the tension wheel is mounted on tension arms (17) which adjust the track tension and which can be moved laterally by a servo drive (14,15,16) to steer the vehicle. The vehicle is made of non ferrous material, e.g. aluminium and plastics while the central frame is made of non magnetic stainless steel. The middle of the vehicle has two lateral support wheels (18) which are non steered.
