PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device, an image forming apparatus, and an image reading method enabling a reduction in time and effort of an operation to set the size of a document to be read or the number of times of reading.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus, when a cover member is detected to be switched from an open state to a closed state (Yes in step S2), reads image data of a document placed on a document placement surface (step S3), detects the corners of the document on the basis of the read image data (step S5), and connects a plurality of pieces of image data to each other that have been read until the number of detected corners of the document reaches a predetermined value (step S8).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
