RADIO SELECTIVE CALL RECEIVER WITH AUTOMATIC CONTROL FUNCTION FOR CALL INFORMING TIME

PURPOSE:To automatically set up appropriate call informing time in accordance with an owner's receiver carrying/non-carrying state by calculating the call informing time based upon the number of unread messages. CONSTITUTION:When received and unread messages exist and a count-up signal is inputted, a message control part 8 adds '1' to the receiving frequency of unread messages which is indicated by 2nd and 3rd bits of the received and unread messages and stores the updated receiving frequency in a memory part 9. In response to a message receiving frequency data output request from a call information control part 7, the control part 8 detects unread messages from the memory part 9 and compares the read messages with messages stored in a register to detect a coincident message. Then the control part 8 detects the receiving frequency of the message concerned and sends the receiving frequency data to the control part 7. The control part 7 calculates call informing time based upon a prescribed expression and sets up the calculated time in a timer part 10. Synchronously with the setting of the time, the control part 8 sends the message to a display part 18.
