摘要 PURPOSE:To broaden a communication range by calculating the relative angles of an artificial-satellite-mounted communication device and a user minute by minute, directing a communication beam toward the user, and correcting the deviation of the beam resulting from a timer error. CONSTITUTION:The position of an artificial satellite on which a communication device is mounted varies minute by minute, and a satellite position computing unit 13 using an onboard clock computes the position of the satellite every moment using time reference signals of a timer unit 11 and signals of a satellite orbit data unit 12, and a user position computing unit 15 computes the user position using signals of a user position data unit 14 and signals of a timer unit 11. Using these two computed values, a relative angle computing unit 16 computes the relative azimuths of the artificial satellite and the user. A controller 6 calculates a pattern with which to compose an optimum beam in the direction of the user based on output signals of the computing unit 16, and selects the constitution of an input (or output) beam forming network 3 (or 8), thereby directing a communication beam toward the user even if the position of the satellite relative to the user is fluctuated.
