The invention relates to a closure unit (10) in particular for a tube end (66). The closure unit comprises a cap (12) consisting of a base and a peripheral side wall which rises from the base, and from which a seal (16) which can fit snugly around the outside of the tube end (66) protrudes. In order to create a pressure-tight connection without any auxiliary means, it is proposed that the closure unit (10) should have at least one annular component (18, 20) with projections which forms a secure grip around the outside of the tube end.
