Oscillating mechanical scraper for removing coatings from surfaces

The tool is a self-contained mechanical unit having a scraper-like blade (5) attached to an oscillating plate (2). A safety guard (1) covers the plate or other similar mounting which is oscillated by an eccentric drive shaft (4) attached to a motor (M) within a housing (3).The blade can be a detachable or positionable accessory to an oscillating grinder by the use of screws, bolt clamps, glue or adhesive along or in any combination. The remains of coverings or coatings are removed from surfaces, e.g. walls or floors by the motion of the blade.
